The Florentine Jacket / Object 3
In 1954 an Italien gentleman bought the corduroy fabric in Via Tornabouni, Florence. He took it to a reputable tailor known for his ability to create garments that lasted a lifetime. Inspired by the style of movie stars like Gary Cooper and Cary Grant, the gentlemans humble request was; Elegante ma rilassata e portabile dappertutto. We took the original to Mr Frederik Andersen at the bespoke tailors of AW Bauer in Stockholm to get his interpretation of the Italian original. And we found the corduroy from Hardy Minnis, Savile Row. We decided to produce 30 pieces of this elegant but relaxed jacket that can be worn everywhere.
